We are thrilled to welcome Cezary Duda as Salesforce Project Manager / Functional Lead, further strengthening our UpCRM team. In this insightful interview, Cezary shares his unique journey, from his beginnings in banking to developing a passion for digital technologies built on over eight years of hands-on experience. He also explains how his expertise and people-first approach will help us drive innovation in CRM and digital transformation at UpCRM.
Can you tell us about your background?
I graduated in Finance and Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and initially began my career at two banks. However, I soon realised that cutting-edge technologies in a business context truly captured my interest. Since then, I have been on a digital journey for more than eight years.
What motivated you to join UpCRM, and how will your expertise contribute to UpCRM in your new role?
Luxembourg is unique for Salesforce implementations due to its size, the variety of businesses, and their specific needs. UpCRM, as a Salesforce partner, plays a significant role in this market, and from the very beginning, I have been curious about how it shapes the local Salesforce ecosystem. My previous consulting experience in functional and project management roles at Accenture, combined with hands-on platform work, aligns well with UpCRM’s plans and ambitions.
You have strong expertise in CRM and digital transformation. What excites you the most about this field?
CRM is a key factor in enabling business growth, and Salesforce offers a comprehensive set of functionalities that can be implemented declaratively, providing our clients with a significant advantage. The direct impact on a client’s success is a powerful motivator.
Which project or professional achievement are you most proud of?
There were several remarkable projects – I have particularly good memories from two Commerce Cloud rollouts –, but, frankly speaking, what makes me most proud is the personal feedback from colleagues – including those on the client side – who said they found our cooperation meaningful. Ultimately, we work for people, and that is what matters most to me.
If you had to describe your approach to project management in three words, what would they be?
Humans before principles.
In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges companies face today in CRM and digital transformation?
To stay competitive in the AI era, it’s crucial to understand its capabilities and maximise the benefits by combining it with CRM data, as well as taking productivity to the next level. At UpCRM, guiding our clients on this journey is our mission.
What’s a fun fact about you that your new colleagues – and our clients! – would never guess?
Not only have I gained Salesforce certifications, but I am also a certified bartender and miner (😉).
